Ned

Joy Robinson-Lynch, MA, LMHC

has over thirty years of experience in designing quality sexual health education for adolescents.  She has worked in schools, health programs and social service agencies, primarily in urban areas.  She has been a professional development provider and consultant to programs across the country.

 

Key experience: As the HIV Coordinator at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, she had oversight of the CDC/DASH funded cooperative agreement.  She reviewed and revised curricula, provided PD and TA to districts and worked collaboratively with the Department of Public Health to develop state policies on adolescent sexual health education.

 

 In July, 2015 she was a member of the core faculty along with staff from Advocates for Youth and Answer who designed and delivered a 5.5 day residential institute for New England school  sex educators.

 

 As a counselor in a middle school, she and the school nurse created and delivered a course, Health and Guidance that was delivered weekly with all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  Sexual health topics were part of the curriculum in all 3 grades

 

As a trainer, she has created courses, workshops and on going PD for federally funded family planning providers on best practices on supporting adolescent sexual health.

Ned Robinson-Lynch, LCSW, LMHC

most recently led the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Division of Health Access prior to accepting the Governor’s early retirement incentive program (ERIP).

 

In his role as Division Director he led a team of managers during a year of reorganization for greater impact.  This team was comprised of the program directors in the Division.  The programs included Massachusetts school health unit, sexual and reproductive health services, the offices of oral health, adolescent health and the primary care office and state office of rural health.

 

Mr. Robinson-Lynch’s career is defined as a change agent who has successfully turned private non-profits or government agencies towards greater success and change.  He is also a licensed mental health counselor and has managed a group therapy practice as well as serving as Executive director, overseeing a mental health agency.  He is skilled in program design, organizational development, fundraising and systems change.
